It’s a Sunday afternoon and I have absolutely nothing to do, so I decide to go though my pile of clothes to come up with new outfits that I haven’t worn yet. After some digging I come across a pair of jean shorts and a white T-shirt, the absolute necessary basics. I am certain that each one of you owns at least a pair of these basics and that you’ve worn this pair a thousand times already. Well, in case you’ve ran out of ideas of how this effortless combination can be worn throughout the day for different occasions, here are four ways on how you can style a pair of jean shorts and a white T.
Shorts: Abercrombie&Fitch, T-shirt: Zara
1. AFTERNOON COFFEE OR WALK
When going out for coffee or for a walk around the city I ALWAYS opt for comfort. So a pair of flip-flops and a colourful scarf will do the job. As for the bag, always choose one that will be easy to carry around on your shoulders.
Scarf: Zara, Flip-flops: Havaianas, Bag: Balenciaga
2. SHOPPING TIME (HAPPY HOUR!)
I don’t know how you go about it, but when I go out for a long and exhausting shopping spree I like to be dressed in easy-to-wear (and take off) yet stylish clothes. Ballet flats, a statement bag – with enough space to accompany your new accessories or small-sized buys – and a set of chunky bracelets are my personal choices.
Ballet flats: Chanel, Bag: Yves Saint Laurent Cabas Chyc Tote (here), Bracelets: Butler&Wilson (here), Swarovski Golf Bracelet, Monica Vinader Fiji Bracelet, Chanel pearl bracelet, Hermès Rivale leather bracelet (here in black).
3. EVENING DRINKS
By the time the sun sets, I think it’s time to set comfort aside and move over to glamour. For a chilly evening on a roof garden, I would go for a bold blazer, a cross-body bag and my favourite rings.
4. HITTING THE CLUB
You may not have thought of jean shorts and a T-shirt as a possible outfit for a night out at the club but with the right styling I say: why not? Choose a statement necklace, a clutch bag and of course sky-high heels and you are ready to go! :)
Necklace: H&M, Clutch bag: Christian Louboutin, Shoes: Balenciaga
So which one would you go for?
